Local NPR station plays a couple hours of real good tunes every day around the lunch hour. A buddy from my youth is the PD.
For mental health month, they’ve asked for listener suggestions. You know, songs that pick you up/help for whatever reason.
We ran into each other last week & he asked me what I’d submitted (nothing, yet). We commiserated for a bit about how hard it is to pick just one.
Eventually I told him how no matter what’s bringing me down, “a little live Todd Snider always does the trick.”
He brightens up & asks if I’d ever seen any of your Sunday morning shows? “Every last one. And some of ‘em more than once.”
We didn’t even realize we were both Shitheads! (Well, not THIS kind anyway).
Anyway, to make a long story longer, thank you. Your art & your perspective have & continue to make this world a better place.
