At one point during Hard Working Americans’ sessions at Cash Cabin in March 2016, John Carter Cash came down from his house at the top of the hill above the studio to see how the sessions were going. With encouragement from Dave Schools, Todd Snider shared with Cash the details of the dreams he’d been having about the studio and Cash’s legendary father.
“I walked out with John to the spot and said, ‘I was asleep right here,’” Snider recalls. “ And he said, ‘Well, that’s weird.’”
