When Todd Snider titled his 1994 debut Songs For The Daily Planet, he was being literal — the songs were literally on his setlist at The Daily Planet, the Memphis bar where he had a weekly residency for a number of years beginning in July 1989. Now Snider has released Aimless Records Presents: Songs For The Daily Planet – Recorded at The Purple Building, which features live, solo acoustic performances of the songs from his first album.
