The Snider Files concludes its coverage of Todd Snider’s “Blind Lemon Pledge” period with another track from Snider’s 2014 unreleased album Take the Blind Lemon Pledge and Stick It to the Man — “Throwing the Goats.” It’s one of the eight songs from the album that were reimagined by Hard Working Americans for their 2016 record Rest In Chaos.

The original version of the song, which you can hear below, was recorded at Eastside Manor Studio in late spring 2014 and like the rest of Take the Blind Lemon Pledge and Stick It to the Man, it has a sparsely arranged, street-busker vibe. The recording features Snider on lead vocal and acoustic guitar with backing vocals by Amanda Shires.
