On this day in 2000, Oh Boy Records released Todd Snider’s label debut, Happy To Be Here. Snider had been dropped by MCA Records after his infamous release show for Viva Satellite in Los Angeles. He was being managed at the time by Al Bunetta, who was John Prine’s manager and Prine’s partner in Oh Boy Records, so when MCA let him go, Snider signed with Oh Boy.
